February 26th – March 04th 2011 at planned Site Siauliai - Lithuania

(Racing days – Sunday, 27.02.2011 until Friday, 04.03.2011)

 

 

Dear Friends ,

on behalf of the IDNIYRA-Europe and the Lithuanian DN Fleet we invite all ice boaters to Lithuania to compete for the European DN Championship title 2011.

 

Organising authority and venue:

The European DN Championship 2011 will be organised by Lithuanian DN Fleet under the authority of IDNIYRA-Europe e.V. represented by the European Commodore.

The Championship regatta will be sailed under the jurisdiction of International DN Ice Yacht Racing Association (IDNIYRA) and provided by the PRC of IDNIYRA-Europe. The primary regatta site is Lake Rekyva at Siauliai, Lithuania.

 

Eligibility:

All competitors shall be members of their National DN Fleet. In Europe these fleets shall be member of IDNIYRA-Europe e.V.

All DN ice-yachts shall meet the requirements of Official DN Class Specifications.

The international ranking list will be used for fleet assignment.

 

Entry and Registration:

“Online Entry” will be primary method of registration via European web www.icesailing.org

 

Opening date for entry: 15. Dec. 2010 – 00:00 (CET)

Closing date for entry: 15. Jan 2011 – 24:00 (CET).

Entry fee has to arrive on the IDNIYRA Europe e.V. account until

 20. January 2011, otherwise Late-Entry fees will apply

“Late-Entry” period will start depending on what happens first,

at closing date or after 220 sailors have registered.

 

Proof of insurance has to be sent to the IDNIYRA Insurance Manager (Email: insurancemgr(at)icesailing.org) first – he will check and sailors will get their Insurance-ID to be able to register. This Insurance-ID sailors will find in the public list upon opening “Online Entry” in the internet.

Personal check-in will be mandatory on February 26th 2011 at race office (opening hours below) in the headquarter. No telephone, fax or e-mail check-in allowed. Only Force Majeure e.g. car accidents, ferry/aircraft delays and significant illness may be accepted by the European Commodore as a reason for telephone or representative check-in.

 

Registration will be closed automatically at deadline. The “server-time-stamp” shown at registration is the official time. All entries tried after will not be accepted as regular entry.

“Late Entry” can be done at online-registration or can be done at the regatta check-in with double entry fee. These sailors have to show their proof of insurance to the Insurance Manager at the site first.

 

European Sailors:             Entry fee of 150,-- ˆ ( + 45,-- ˆ for IDNIYRA-Europe fee ) = Total 195,-- ˆ.

US Sailors: Total 150,-- ˆ (US sailors have to register online as well, Payment at the site will be accepted)

Junior sailors: (born latest 1989): Entry-fee 75,-- ˆ; no fee for
IDNIYRA Europe = Total 75,-- ˆ.

Schedule of events:

Final site selection: no later than Friday, February 25th 2011-12:00 (CET) - announced on official homepage of IDNIYRA-Europe – Championship Info (www.icesailing.org).

 

Regatta check-in:

Saturday February 26th 2011

10:00 to 14:30 and 16:00 to 20:00.

Opening ceremony:          Saturday February 26th 2011 – 15:00

Scheduled First Start:      Sunday February 27th 2011 – 10:00

Scheduled Last Start:      Friday March 04th 2011 – 14:00

5. Races, scoring, advertising.

 

Races and scoring will be managed according to IDNIYRA By-Laws and NIA sailing rules and the Sailing Instructions. The Sailing Instructions may be modified at the Skippers Meeting.

 

According to the decision at the National Secretaries Conference in April 2008 for each fleet 20 races are scheduled.

There must not be more than 5 races per fleet per day. Every five races one throwout.

 

The European Championship 2011 is finished:

Last sailing day will be the day one fleet has 20 races.

or after last race/start: Friday, March 04th  2011 – at/before 14:00

 

It was further agreed that if time and conditions permitted the last 5 races, i.e. Races 6 to 10 or i.e. 13 to 17, would count for the European Cup!

           

IDNIYRA By-Laws B.12 will apply with the amendment that each participant may be obligated to attach advertisement or other information from organisers to the hull.

 

 

 

6. Anti-Doping policy.

 

IDNIYRA-Europe has implemented the Anti-Doping Programme of the World Anti-Doping Agency. Thus during training and the regatta the misuses of alcohol or drugs will not be tolerated.
